    I must have been dreaming

According to Sky, Burnley have signed a Brazilian. No sign of it on here, and we know how quickly claretsmad jumps on stories.

Confirmed by the club, Vitinho, right-back from Belgian D1 team Cercle Bruges.

My grandson rang me yesterday full of excitement and said, "Grandad we have signed a Brazilian called Vimto". He was nearly bloody right too!

We all know that Garlick was too busy checking the bank balance to be bothered with transfers - they cost money.

Dyche - well he the square root of f*ck all to spend.

VK is on a budget from what he has said, looking at younger players with potential. He is a major draw. Players want to work under him. That couldn’t really be sais about Dyche.

Good point BT what where they doing and to top that where’s the money, close to 900 million in the last six years ( sky money alone ) , what did Garlick do with it over that period - we didn’t spend a lot on players I know that much.

There is an excellent article in the Guardian this morning. Vinny certainly seems to be able to put his finger on what went wrong...

I can't find anything in there explaining 'what went wrong'. What went wrong anyway, a small town club survived 6 year in the PL on next to no money, far longer than anyone anticipated or forecast, before economic reality kicked in and they were relegated. Seems to me that there can't have been much wrong, and an awful lot must have gone right.

Ageing squad, long term contracts and no money spent on refreshing the squad during the last three seasons sinkov. If Garlick had not been intent on consolidating the contents of his bank account and consolidated our squad instead, we would be enjoying our 7th consecutive season in the EPL and well you know it mon ami.
