    Goalies

What's the feeling on here about Pope vs Dubravka for the number one spot. Personally I favour Dubs but probably because I've seen much more of him than Pope. Get the feeling that it will be Pope though, can't see him wanting to come here to be the understudy.

I would favour Pope I think.

I also agree that Pope wouldn't have come to be an understudy.

Two seasons ago when Dubs was on fire I’d say, Dubs as first choice and Pope would need to earn his place.
But Dubravka has made more mistakes over the last season and Pope has been fantastic.

i think Pope will be the first choice, its also an indicator of what type of players we are after.

The likes of Nick Pope and today the news of us bidding for Maddison, these are good players who will be giving the little bt extra to try and get into the national team squad

They're both quality keepers so I think they'll be continually swapped based on the gravity of their fu'ck ups and injuries.

Not sure there will be a de facto #1 so to speak. Because one isn't miles better than the other.

I think Pope probably edges it over Dubs because I think he's better in the air when coming for crosses.
