    It was a good result in the Carabao Cup winning against QPR on penalties on Tuesday. But Charlton fall to their first defeat of the season at Hillsborough against Sheffield Wednesday despite dominating play in much of the first half.

    Bakinson scored for Wednesday 9 minutes from time. The hosts nearly doubled their lead just before full time.

    Sheffield Wednesday goal: Bakinson 81.
