    New Manager Thread

Yes, until he goes which will be in 7 games time or at best the start of the World Cup, who will yake over, I'm saying this because 3 wins in 16 is simply not good enough, we have really tough games coming up and may be bottom by the end of Sept, he will go unless he turns it around. Pointless thread I hear to say, well not really. Purslow is always one step ahead and will be speaking to potential new Managers agents right now. Aim high....Poch for me!

Surely Purslow has to go as well if SG fired? Very much his choice I think so NSWE would look to clear out and start again? Mind you no point in getting another manager and playing with the same "spine" of players, need someone who isnt frightened to rip up whatever the current plan is and go back to learning how not to concede before we worry about who is going to score the goals. Half the players that appeared to be good enough stopped playing the minute the crowds arrived back e.g. Konsa. People are asking for Poch, wtf are they smoking? His next job will be at a champions league level club, we need to be looking for someone who has a provable background at the right level but not necessarily a big name, maybe from the german or dutch leagues where there is an emphasis on your coaching ability and not which club you played for or managed.

A new manager is not for me.

Yes, it's all a bit up in the air, but I think that we should stick at it.

We have a new 1st team coach (Critchley), with new ideas, no time to implement them. Pre-season was Walsall, a jolly around Oz (without Critchley), and a French team. 3 games into the season, crikey.

Yellow card for Bongo for that suggestion surely , I take your point Exiled, but taking the last dozen games of last season into account, we are still not showing any sembelance of a cohesive plan, and as I said in another post, the so called spine of our team look like doing for two managers. TD are you Kevin Costner????

Very true, OSV. I am grasping at straws here, but can you really include last season, when we had a different 1st team coach?

Both Smith and Gerrard incidentally, swapped their 1st team coaches in the close season of a poor start. Coincidence? Or Conspiracy? (Calm down Bongo & Dave)

It could also be argued that a decent manager, would get a tune out of these players. Better still, would not have bought most of them in the first place.

But hey, I’m hoping that Critchley and Gerrard will save the day and that ‘Nanny’ flies off on his broomstick. And we all wake up to find, it was just a bad dream.
