No problem for me really but I know some work Saturdays and could end up missing game or half of it, is it fair on them who will also feel the pinch.
Tell Ref to pay part of bill if he wants lights on in day the idiot

Looks like a few clubs are talking to EFL about 1pm kick offs on Saturday so they can save energy and costs from turning on the floodlights.
Not sure if it will make that much difference given we have lights on during daylight at request of referees.

What about evening kick offs next morning when it's light!
For Watford game we parked up near Millmoor at 1.30 and we could see that NYS had all of the lights on including the new ones
Inside the ground the perimeter advertising boards were going full tilt even though you could easily count the number of fans in a position to see them
A monstrous waste of energy and money
We said the same. All lights on before kick off and its bright sunlight. Club can't moan about energy costs if its wasting money having lights on when they aren't needed. You would hope if the advertising boards are on then they pay for themselves with the advertising money generated, but if I need sunglasses on the club doesn't need floodlights on.
Clubs pay players a fortune but want esrly kick offs to save a few quid on the leccy. You couldnt make it up!!!
Bradford one of the clubs
