They've realised they made a mistake now. Someone pointed out that the fans could have had 2 mins silence followed by a resounding chorus of God save the king and everyone would have been happy.

It is widely accepted Queen Elizabeth II was not a huge football fan.
On that glorious summer afternoon, when Bobby Moore wiped himself down before shaking her gloved hand as she passed him the Jules Rimet trophy, was actually the last football match she attended before the Euro 96 final.
After 1966, it was left to the likes of the Duchess of Kent and Randy Andy to hand out the trophies at Wembley until, latterly, Prince William, an unlikely but committed Aston Villa fan, became the royal family’s football face, and eventually president of the FA.
All of which begs the question, "Why was our game called off against Norwich?"

Exactly mon ami, my man at the Palace tells me that whenever her possible attendance at a football match was mooted, her personal secretary was fixed with a steely glare and "Get me out of it".

Come on lads, we know why this happened. All part of the ongoing plan by the football authorities to treat the fans, who pay their money and actually attend matches, like s#1t.
Great to see Leeds Rhinos fans cheering their team on in France last night after respect was paid before the match.

I see the big crowds of people at Buck House and queueing to get into St Pauls yesterday and I really do not see the point, there again, I have never been a 'crowd' person or a 'sheep' -----I prefer to be an individual and don't need to be seen to be doing anything at all.

Who are they playing Alfie, is it a team from Yaarkshire, if so I'm with the Reds, Salford play in red don't they? I'm bored witless today, I might even watch it.
