    Gary Neville on politics.

    On Radio 5 Live today.

Massively a Labour fan, I get that but he talks a lot of sense.

The problem for me today with Labour is the sneering way they talk about the better off in our society, especially the Rayner types who seem to be unable to separate ordinary people who’ve done well for themselves or become incredibly rich compared to toffs who were born into privilege and wealth.

If only this brigade could grow up and stop being such idealist and visceral haters of people with money.

Neville was right, he said that being wealthy shouldn’t preclude you from supporting Labour in the same way that being poor shouldn’t stop you voting Conservative if their policies are sound.

Neville is more coherent and captivating political voice than anyone in the Labour Party.
