    Paul Mullin

What was Paul Mullin thinking to personalise his boots with the message 'F*ck the Tories'. I am sure lots on here agree with his statement boots, but what place does that have in football, especially when he will be idolised by hundreds of young fans.
Turn this around from my point of view, and have Macca put 'F*ck Labour' on his boots, (pretty sure he wouldn't be a Tory by the way) He would have gone down immensely in my opinion.
Glad Wrexham decided to ban him from wearing them.

So you're in favour of cancel culture, woke football clubs and against freedom of speech?

Bit of a pointless debate really, as his club banned him from wearing them and made him wear these instead.

Oh goody.. another politics related thread where the same opinions made on several other threads can be made. Yawn
I put a link on yesterday regarding Mr Mullin, it’s in the leadership thread, where I hoped people would try and keep it and discuss if necessary. I had hoped we could focus and have plenty of threads about Notts, especially with us doing well.

    GEZMAN obviously not too bright.
Frenchmagpie. I have always been puzzled why people get upset by swear words, as they are only words using letters of the alphabet, like any other word. However seeing as this is the case, and it is generally frowned upon to use swear words in most areas of society, I think it was right of Wrexham to ban him from wearing them.
Would you be happy for him to wear boots with 'F*ck BLM* on them, free speech and all that.

And where does it stop? Putting people you hate on your boots a bit of racism etc. There have to be certain standards.
Freedom of speech? That went out long ago over here.

Dont think its a cancel culture thing. He is entitled to his opinion but he should distance it from the club not embroil them in it, putting their name in sight is the issue.

Apologies Notts78, if I had seen that in the leadership thread I would have posted it there. I didn't post it as a political issue. More the language used that I thought unacceptable from a role model for kids.
Would be happy for this thread to be deleted Swale, one political thread on here is more than enough.

Never a truer word spoken on here.

    Amen to that.
