MillersMad Matchthread - The Millers v Norwich

Today see the biannual get together of these 2 great teams. In recent years Rotherham United who have been too good for League one and are constantly being promoted to the Championship then relegated play Norwich City who have been constantly too good for the Championship and win promotion to the Premiership only to wait 9 months before they get relegated again. Just think! If we'd have missed it by one season we'd have never have played one and other ever again.

Today is a tough one for us especially after Wednesday evening. The players gave their all and in truth that is all we could ask for.

Put it like this, If we had been playing most other teams in the Championship with that team and that preformance then we would more that likely have 3 more points on the table! As it is we are in 14th place with a third of the season gone!

A small squad, a change of management and multiple injuries have effected this season so far but these players are giving everything they have for Matt Taylor.

I look forward to getting through these matches up to the World Cup break and then seeing a positive change in coaching, fitness, team building and style and when you add that on to the additional signings in January I truly believe that our great football club will be in the Championship next season.

    Enjoy the match everyone!

    COME ON YOU REDS!!!!!

Or come January there's always Deal in Kent. Wonder what we'll be dealing in?

On to today and lord knows who's available for Taylor to pick from. All I want to see is two up front today, not one tucked in behind Washington but two pressing. Play one and we won't do anything against Norwich. Their front two, because they'll play two, of Sergant and Pukki will be in our faces from the off.

We can't even call on the likes of McCart, injured in training, Ferguson injured, Kioso?? or Bramall because he's banned. We all know Chio now says he's a centre forward but his best play is out wide, we need him there to run at their defence.

Did I read it right Wiles is one yellow away from a ban or is banned for this game? Not sure who Taylor plays in the back three? Is this a game for Wood or does he sit this one out? It's all up in the air so in Taylor we believe and trust. Have the same mental attitude as the other night and we're halfway there. UTM!
