Thanks again for the offer, but I prefer to watch this one from behind the settee. After last weekend I'm traumatised, we got our bottoms smacked at Bramall Lane, Clitheroe were outplayed by Runcorn Linnets down Shawbridge, they were lucky it was only 0-1, and the Rugby team turned in yet another abject performance against Argentina on Sunday, I'm not sure who is the most inept of our national coaches, Gareth or Eddie, it's a close run thing.

Any road, I'm not risking having to watch them *******s celebrating at Turf Moor. I can't take any more, I'm staying behind the settee.

A pity mon ami, you would have met my off the chart Clarets Mad six-year-old grandson. His antics would have warmed the cockles of your heart.

Must be fun taking him but it gets a bit cold in Burnley in January and February for a 6 year old,at least that's what my Dad used to say

barrie ---you dad was telling you fibs! My dad used to take me to Burnley and mum used to take me to Rovers from being a 5 year old and I have survived, in fact, I never feel the cold even now as a 75+ year old.
Anyway, BT's grandsons won't feel the cold because it is so much warmer now because of climate change and it's going to get warmer ---isn't it? Well that's what the latest brainwashing plot is, so it must be.

I'm sure he's an absolute star mon ami, but you could widen his football education, take him to some non-league, proper football.

WHat a shame! I am down in London this weekend, however, I have to fly back on Monday so I shall miss this. Pity that I didn't know about it well in advance, I could have changed my flights and taken the missus along to the event.

It's a shame Sub, I should have mentioned it earlier, me the missus were thinking of going, but we didn't fancy it on our own. If only we'd known.
