    Club Statement

I enclose details of a Club Statement from the Dundee FC website. https://dundeefc.co.uk/news/cub-statement/
Apparently the game against Cove Rangers has not officially been cancelled as the SPFL do not wish to make a decision until tomorrow morning.
The SPFL may have realised that the snow which started falling in Dundee around 6am this morning has now turned to rain which might result in the snow lying on the Dens Park pitch starting to melt.
If some of the Dens Park stands have frozen pipes then surely the Dundee and Cove Rangers supporters can be shoehorned into the remaining stands which are fit for use.
I cannot see more than 3.500 people actually turning up for this game even if the official attendance is quoted as 4,000 plus.

I had to go to the SPFL website to obtain the information that tomorrow’s game is definitely off as the Club website is still stating that there is to be a pitch inspection tomorrow morning.
Why do the management of Dundee Football Club make a hash of things.
In April 2020 we had the shambles of ‘votegate’ where John Nelms changed his vote to end the 2019-20 season which caused ructions amongst Hearts and Partick Thistle supporters.
Now we have the shambles of the on/off statement on the Club website regarding tomorrow’s home game against Cove Rangers.

Enough said, they don't communicate so why bother telling fans the game's off?

Wait a minute though, did they not say earlier today in the statement that they wanted to give fans as much notice as possibe of any postponement but the SPFL insisted on a morning inspection tomorrow? What's changed I wonder? Why don't they give a monkey's about telling fans the game's off with plenty notice now?

Incompetence or ignorance? I can't think of any other reason.

The reason today was they couldn't find John Nelms to agree the official wording.
