    Dog started barking

So I turned round and looked out of our patio door.
To my surprise there was a beautiful fox sat there looking at us, turned to get my phone to get his photo and he was off.
Would have been a great shot. the light was perfect.

We used to put dog food out each evening in our front garden for a fox that used to come every night. We knew when he was coming as other people's dogs would start to bark, so we would look out the front window and sure enough after a couple of minutes and the house across the road's security light came on there he would be. He stopped coming eventually and I suppose he ended up getting hit by a car but I like to think he found somewhere that gave him better food.

Hi, I would have fed him. But didn't want to encourage him because our dog is only a little one. So need to be carefull

Don’t blame you Lloyd. Horrible creatures who would attack anything smaller ie cats - dogs - babies. Fox s hit is even more disgusting than pigeon’s s hitting everywhere. Keep well away and like alligators in the US - feed them at your peril as they will come closer and closer and then eventually have no fear of attacking humans.

Foxes are like Marmite, you either love them or hate them. Personally, I hate foxes as they are flea ridden predators who can create havoc for chickens and ducks. I have seen the destruction that they create. Unfortunately, because people feed them, they will keep coming further into built up areas.

You need to discourage foxes if you have cats, small dogs and rabbits etc.
