    Ibrox Disaster

Happened 52 years ago today where 66 lives were lost. Like most of these types of events I remember it vividly but never realised that almost half of those that perished were t.eenagers and everyone was under the age of 50. Thankfully today's old firm derby went off without such an incident.

I saw reports after the Stoke game about our exit policy being an 'accident waiting to happen'. Being at the S end of the E stand we stayed in our seats for about 5-10 minutes after the final whistle to let the 'Neanderthals' dissipate so had no issue with getting out of the NYS area (except for one irate driver who was losing his mind over being held back in the car park to give pedestrians priority). Where/what exactly are the areas of concern at NYS?

    Areas of concern?

The “ alternative exit strategy” just doesn’t work

Us West Stand faithful have to negotiate a longer walk over uneven, badly lit ground.

Just to meet up with the away fans again at Popeyes burger van.

Purely selfish, but do I feel safer with this alternative strategy, the answer is no and if I pick up an injury due to that exit strategy then it’s a civil claim against the club.
