    Another record incomming.

MB record breaking performances from last year look like improving.
Leeds United are set to break a 38-year long top-flight record by becoming the first team to play a full year in the top-flight and concede at least two goals per game on average. The Whites have conceded 72 goals from their 35 matches in 2022 and not a clean sheet in their final game of the year at Newcastle United will prevent it.
But rest assured JM accuses fans low minded as he reckons we have improved so much under him! I mean just look we are only 1 point behind what we were last season at this stage and conceded more goals and scored less I mean it;s there for everyone to see why are we fans so blindsided

If your going to quote facts, at least make sure they are correct, 15-22 after 15 matches, compared to 23-29 last season.
So we've conceded 7 less. But scored far fewer, it was around now we started to get pummelled by teams last season...

Bielsa had far more issues beyond his control at this stage of the season - our injury list was horrific and didn’t get the midfielder he had apparently asked for pre season. We also got some incredibly dodgy refereeing decisions too

I'm not sticking up for him but am sure JM has been asking for a left Back, no Dallas.. we've sold our 2 best players. Some of the players who brought us up are another season past their sell by. Have you got your rose tinted glasses on with the last months of MB, no denying he will always be a legend but just like Wilko's final months, his time was done...

    No rose tinted specs.

No one will ever know but think he would also have kept us up. Orta and Radz wanted him out Kinnear didn’t.

His problem was twofold - signing one year deals meant is was easy to fire him - and - two he made clear to take the squad further it would need significant investment. Once we got the injuries we did especially to Kalvin then the lack of midfield signings that summer hit us hard so the damage was done in the summer transfer window not later on.

A cynic might think JM would be so delighted to take charge he wouldn’t care as much and yes I think they signed v good players but losing two greats for us and not spending beyond what was brought in.

Have seen Leeds in the flesh under JM and MB and tactically JM is clueless not only in comparison but just generally. His readi g of the game and when/who to sub seems to often have no logic.

Not in my opinion - he played a certain way and against the lower placed clubs we did pretty well - certainly had more points after same number of games.

We then had 11 first team players out including key players and the squad was too thin to cope.

I saw us play in the new year v West Ham in the league and tactically we were very good and he juggled youngsters incredibly well.

Game two days ago v City we should have conceded at least 7

How Wet Spam have stayed up I don't know, the next Coventry and well deserved... I don't understand, we got pummeled by the top teams and you think it's OK, we all have opinions btw I saw us play as well if that helps

Not saying it was okay to lose but we put certain teams to the sword under Bielsa and it was good to watch and exciting.

The squad he had wasn’t good or deep enough to play the football he wanted and when we got injuries we couldn’t cope.

If we had bought Adams and Aaronson at the start of last season sure we would have played some scintillating stuff - though no doubt they would have both got COVID and injured!

Bielsa never said he didn’t want more players he just said there is no point buying journeymen if you want the squad to improve. He also had a very good eye for a player - look at the ones that got away White, Gvardiol, Downes, Nketiah

He needed whoever scouts for Brighton to be on our staff too. Orta has pulled off some decent signings but some dross too.

Brighton seem to be either incredibly lucky or have a very good system- Bournemouth too.

We seem to be standing still at best and in some respects going backwards by not moving on or addressing the areas that need tackling - aging squad and positions with weakness.

This was the season Radz and Kinnear were also clear that the ground development would start - so far nada.

It’s just frustrating as it could be so much better without signing galacticos. Jesse Marach also sadly seems to be naive and tactically inept at times for all that he seems a lovely bloke and able to make the players feel good.

Correct but when you telly them we are 1 worse. As hope has tried to explain MB did it with what we had and paid the price this JM has bought in how many players? I cant see any improvement can you? All I see is players running around like headless chooks.
