If You Can’t Use Both Feet…

If you can’t use both feet, then you shouldn’t be a professional footballer. I literally can’t believe it’s possible that someone could receive a wage for playing football without having the capacity to pass the ball with both feet.

I’m not talking about having a preferred foot. Of course, everyone will have a stronger foot. However, a professional would have the ability to pass the ball 10 yards with both feet, instead of stretching into ridiculous positions in order to use their only working foot.

If you can’t use both feet, then why not work on it in training? I know it’s possible because me and my friends have practiced to the point of being able to pass the ball with either foot. There are also examples of players who have clearly worked on their weaker foot and it’s great to see improvements.

In summary, if you are a professional footballer who will avoid at any cost using one of your feet to play football (your job) you should be embarrassed.

Are you talking about Chicksen or just in general?

No ‘wonder kid’ should be one footed, unless the standards of wonder kids have lessened.

A wonder kid who is now at the peak age of their career should definitely have the skillset to pass a ball with both feet.

I found best to run with both feet, much faster.

Some of the best players would only use one peg. Messi Mahrez do, didn't do Pearce any harm. The one thing that goads me with one footed players is why the opposition don't make them play on the wrong foot.

Why not just say what you think about certain players (or a certain player)?

Ridiculous how we are top of the league with only one defeat all season yet so ready to jump on the players as soon as we don't win.

I’m not asking for someone to build a perpetual motion machine… I’m asking for someone who is paid to play football, to be able to pass with either foot if the ball lands towards either foot (and not instead stretch using the outside of a preferred foot).

We hear about all the great training patterns. Well how about we practice passing with both feet!

Last night both Nemane and Chicksen supplied a couple of decent crosses with their 'unfavoured' foot but it was Cameron when trying to clear in the first half that wound me up as he sliced with the outside of his left when the obvious choice was to put his right through it!
