Matt Hancock could now have a problem about giving Isabel Oakeshott the emails sent to him concerning the Covid situation. Thus the identity and data security of the senders has been breached. In a court case he would lose. It is not likely that he would be fined an onerous amount but the cost of his defence could run into millions of pounds.

Isabel Oakeshott is not likely to be prosecuted because as a journalist she would cite a public interest defence which would inevitably succeed.
