Thread: Dwight McNeil

    Dwight McNeil

Unbelievable performance from the lad to today, made three and scored two absolute crackers in a 5-1 Everton away win at Brighton.

    Unbelievable Jeff!

He was brilliant tonight at both ends of the pitch. HIs goal in the 6th minute of added time came at the end of a lung busting run.
It was great to watch Everton battling against the odds tonight and pulling off a super result against one of the teams that lots of fans are hailing as future European contenders.

This season I hope the Toffees survive for sean's sake, last season I would have quite happily have seen them relegated of course.

Absolutely brilliant performance from McNeil. Confidence fully restored, out of this world goal No 4. SD must take some credit for the turnround.

It's called, "Keeping the faith" Tap, if you believe the manager has confidence in you, you too will believe# Look at Michael Keane, he's another example.

Worth noting that Everton have only scored 32 goals in the PL this season and Dwight has scored 7 and has 3 assists from 25 starts and 8 sub appearances. Since Sean took over he has started all 15 matches and scored 5 goals.
In the 20 previous matches, Everton had won3 drawn 6 and lost 11 scoring 15 and conceding 28 gaining 15 points.
Next 15 matches won 4 drawn 5 lost 6 scored 17 conceded 25 gaining 17 points and that is with an ultra defensive manager as far as the media are concerned. It's a strange game.

Something went wrong at Brighton, Sean was supposed to keep them up with a cast iron defence, not 5-1 away wins !!

He was constantly criticized on here for only knowing how to play "Dycheball". That result at Brighton coupled to a million of others like it when he was in charge of us sort of dispels the myth.

I want the Toffees to stay up so we can watch VK & SD go head-to-head twice next season.
