    One’s that missed the boat

Wonder what the players who turned us down last summer are thinking.

Hugo Ekitike went to PSG, he’s played in 20 games with 3 goals and 4 assists… we got lucky and got Isak instead who has also played 20 games but has 10 goals and 1 assist.

Looking forward to a lot more players being quoted with something along the lines of ‘flattered by NUFC’s interest’ in June 😉

If he can't get a game over Mbappe, Messi and Neymar. He would have no chance t all against Isak and Wilson.

TBH I'd still take him this summer. The lad will come to us more humble after thinking he was gonna go to PSG and displace one of those over paid shirt swlling has-beens, legends both but past their best pensioners none the less.

Bad representation, bad move has set him back at least 1 full season in terms of his development.

If I had a choice it would be Sesko that we'd bring in, I'd take a look at the Arsenal lad who's banging them in for fun in France. Ekitike would be 3 choice.

I would have reservations about Etike. He has indeed missed the boat. He went to the club he supports, following the money and no doubt led there by his agent. All good. What gets me is that he’s throwing his toys out now because he’s not getting the minutes on the pitch. He made his bed and so he should lie in it and fight for his place.

If he’s throwing his toys out the pram because he’s not getting a game ahead of M’bappe etc then how will he react when told Murphy is picked ahead of him 🤦*♂️

    Agree with this.

He has undoubted skill and I think he'd do well here, however, his attitude is what concerns me.
