Thread: Getting rid of Shelvey

    Getting rid of Shelvey

Getting rid of Shelvey was big mistake. Bruno is burnt out and playing with an injury for god knows how long now? Jon Jo was playing really well before his injury I was up for it. We should have held on to him until the summer.

    PS

What the fu( k were we doing spending £40m on Gordon

Thought it was daft at the time and its been proven to be now we are so light in central midfield Shelvey would have been a quality option for the 2nd half of the season.

Are you having a laugh Shelvey has been pants at Nottingham has been castigated by their fans and has been sent home by their manager
Stop acting like top 6 fans and remember we’re we have come from and we’re we are going and enjoy the ride
That was a shame we dropped two points but it was Leeds at home with a new manager and fighting for their lives
Man c 2 Leeds 1 at city says it all

I agree we should never have let Shelvey go. Yes hes been a tosser at Forest but he wouldn't have been for us.

Shelvey wanted to go because Forest offered him a contract, but we should have offered him one. We've missed him big time.

    Both sides have merit here.

Letting Shelvey go seemed bold at the time but, as said, he's been awful for Forest thus far.

Our expectations for the season were nowhere near as high as we've achieved up to this point, mainly because we felt that our squad wasn't capable of such feats. So, the fact that we've stumbled a bit recently for parts of games, shouldn't come as a surprise.

    Good post.

Eddie didn’t want him to go but I did and he’s been sh*t and uncommitted at Forest. Their supporters heavily regret buying him.

He has been sh1t at forest but look at the state of forest with Jesse Lingard and all those tik tok fools, he was never going to fit in there. Howe should have kept him.

Howe wanted to keep him, he wanted to go.

So, he got his move and still showed poor character. Imagine if we’d blocked his move??!

He didn't want to go. He wanted a contract. He would have stayed at Newcastle had we offered him one.

Yes we could of offered him £120 thousand a week for the next 3 years and had him warming the bench as he did for his last year of his time with us
