I'm surprised Pace wants to pursue this unless he knows there is guaranteed compensation, otherwise it's like sour grapes, let's move on.

I was quite surprised by the article as I felt this subject had "run its course"
The remaining clubs involved I can understand, as all have one eye on the drop!
Seems this still has legs and when money is involved-someone is sniffing blood!
I’d guess it’s a us and them scenario, we are small fry as are Leeds forest Southampton in the scale of the Premier league, we obviously knew the situation as did Leeds 12 months ago but we were fobbed off and told to suck it up as if we keep pursuing a prosecution and points deduction the can of worms would be open for all the others who have broken the FFP rules and regulations.
The difference now is the facts and figures are done ( manipulated obviously) and all can see in black and white they fiddled it , so if Everton go down I’d guess it’s non persuable with the exception of Southampton and Leicester, maybe different if Leeds go down as they enquired originally.
Smoke and water again for me though as the Premiership knows if it does happen there will be some of the big boys open to investigation- Man City maybe ? And they really can’t afford that to happen as it will prove they have been turning blind eyes since its introduction.
Another example of how corrupt football is today - either way can’t see a good end to this for Everton if the club/ clubs follow through legally they could be relegated with deductions now or later
To add a bit of perspective Reading & Wigan have both been relegated, we got sanctioned, yet Everton got off Scot free and stayed up last season. It’s bloody rubbish!
Best outcome for us would be for Everton to stay up, but with a points deduction next season.
I think we had moved on from this, but as other clubs have re-opened the can of worms, we might as well jump on the bandwagon. (I did try to find a third cliche to add to that last sentence, but I couldn't, so two will have to do.)![]()
FFP is and always was a joke.Take a look at Man City's wage bill.Do you think that Haaland,Gundogan,Grealish etc are employed by
Man City Football Club? They just have clever Accountants to find a way around it.Much like who owns Burnley FC![]()
