Just watching the playoff final between Middlesborough and Coventry and am wondering how on earth did Carrick get so few England caps. A truly gifted player in that position and was integral for that Man Utd side at the time. If he was Spanish I imagine he would have had far more caps….we just didn’t know how to use him in our pre-historic 4-4-2
Imagine a midfield three of Scholes, Gerrard and Carrick at the base of it. The problem was trying to show horn Lampard in as well….to the point of playing Scholes on the left. Jesus wept 🤦*♂️😞
