    Angry Hypocritical anti-Semites.

ALK do a massive U-turn and announce betting company W88 as main shirt sponsors..

    https://www.burnleyfootballclub.com/...-shirt-sponsor.

    Meanwhile...

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66037831.

Are Mormons naturally anti-Semitic? Asking for a friend.

Really don’t care - in The F up corrupt world we live in who gives a ****, I’m most definitely of the guise , from now on I look after my family - children and me - life’s too short for this garbage - bring on quality football and smiles at the turf and that will do for me.

I remember Alan Pace saying betting and football are incongruent.

Then someone pulls out their chequebook.

Very disappointing that the club has maintained a link with gambling. I know that some on here like a bet or two, so it would be hypocritical of them to condemn the deal.

I am not a betting man. It saddens me that the internet seemingly has drawn more people into betting and its addictive nature. I am not a killjoy and acknowledge that many can bet “sensibly”. Many cannot and I would prefer that the club were not part of the betting world, normalising it and projecting it as an attractive, fun thing to do.

The Church is against all gambling of any kind, including lotteries (see Handbook 2: Administering the Church [2007], 21.1.19). The reason we’re counselled not to waste our time and money on it is simple: “Gambling is wrong. … It is addictive and can lead to lost opportunities, ruined lives, and broken families. It is false to believe that you can get something for nothing” (For the Strength of Youth [2011], 41).

Until you find yourselves back in the EPL and skint and W88 wave a big, fat cheque. Hypocrites.

I agree entirely that gambling addictions lead to many sad, ruined lives - and not just for the gambler but their families too.

Alcohol use/abuse leads to many similar problems.

Do we ban alcohol from football grounds for the same reasons when many can drink sensibly?

Ivan Toney wears a Brentford shirt with Hollywood Bets emblazoned across his chest, yet the hypocrites in the FA/EPL alliance ban him for eight months for betting.

Alan Pace said he would not endorse betting until the W88 chequebook comes out.

    The hypocrisy is nauseating.
