Oh dear, what will Macron do now.Looks like civil war is taking place in France. That policeman has a lot to answer for, shooting that poor defenceless 17 year old Algerian lad in his car the other day.

I’ll say this for the French Alf ( the people that is ) when they get behind something they really do get behind it.
    One out all out.

Inequality, racism and unhinged socioeconomic class differentials can only go on for so far. We will catch on eventually over here.

It is not every French person that is out in the streets. The rioters are using the shooting as an excuse for violence and destruction. They are vandalising the property of innocent people, totally unrelated to the incident in Paris. They are destroying their own communities.

There are serious social and racial tensions in France and have been for years. This especially true of Paris, Lyon and Marseilles. The old saying: “when in Rome does as the Romans do” is still true. However, a lot of the immigrants going to France from the old French empire want to maintain their cultures, their mores, do not want to integrate into the community. Likewise the French are protective of their culture and way of life. They resent being forced to accept others way of life.

A recipe for serious social issues. Something that Bliar overlooked in his desire to see Britain as multicultural.

Sadly, it is not as simple as BT makes out - that it is white supremacy oppressing the poor immigrants. How would the English feel if a Muslim majority decided that all pubs in England had to close because of their ban on alcohol? Would everyone simply say “ok” or would they take to the streets to protect their indigenous culture?

    Spot the difference.

As Swiss says, 'Sadly it is not as simple as BT makes out'.

The inequality racism and socioeconomic class differentials may exist but they are not necessarily the root cause of what is happening at the moment. Similarly, the inequality and class differentials are not imposed upon people. That is a simplistic, myopic view of the issues. There are two sides to every story. Racism is a very emotive, misused epithet. The race card is played to easily when it does not actually exist.

Two white people apply for a job. One is well qualified, the other is not. The qualified person is chosen. No racism as both white.

Two people apply for a job. One is qualified and black, the other is not qualified and white. The qualified, black person gets the job. No racism.

Two people apply for a job. One is qualified and white, the other is not qualified and black. The qualified, white person gets the job. For individuals who share your views, that is automatically racism, being the oppression of black people.

Also there are many successful immigrants in France, as there are in other countries.

They have taken the opportunities given to them by a fundamentally socialist country, worked hard and succeeded.

There are many who have not taken the opportunities and/ or are too lazy to work hard. They expect to be given everything.

    Spot the difference.

Then there are groups like the ultras who use any excuse for violence and destruction - both black and white.

White does not equal spawn of the devil. Black does not equal a poor oppressed angel come down from heaven.

A white French policeman arbitrarily murders a 17 year French Algerian and it's not racist? A white middle class child does not have "inequality and class differentials imposed upon him?" Try telling that to a pi$$ poor French Algerian born on the wrong side of the tracks who is now lying in a morgue.

Or a white kid born in Blackpool who has the lowest life expectancy figure for men in England, 13 years less than in parts of the south east.

Going back to sport hardly any black managers in the English game and not a single black player in the Lilywhite England test team (more's the pity).
