    Harvey Barnes

Decent but I reckon this is a club generated smokescreen to pave the way for a better signing - hopefully Diaby, and there are a couple of articles via NewsNow saying as much. The Tonali signing came out of the blue when we were briefly linked with Barella in the press, which didn’t happen (yet!). Good way to operate if true.

Decent player but Diaby is another step up and thats where we need to be aiming for proven quality from europe.

Decent squad player but wouldn't be a starter.

Barnes is quality. Proven double figures a season goalscorer in the prem, playing for an average Leicester team. yes therte are better players out there, but i'd be very pleased if we signed him. Although not for the £50mil figure i keep seeing!

Have you seen brighton wanting £100mil for Caiceido!! wtf

    Are they really asking that???

    ffs, man...believing their own hype.

Was it Bissouma Spurs bought from them as the next world-beating midfielder?

not my first choice but I guess that's based on the fact of the relegation stigma & Barnes not being an exotic name. The kids scored a lot of goals and provided a lot of assists in a shocking Leicester team.

Also when thinking about it we need to keep an English spine to the team at this time to maintain the hardworking football culture within the squad/team as well as making sure we hit those 'Home Grown' quotas for the European competition.

What does this mean for the future of Allan Saint Maximin?

I'm not bad at the signing of Barnes, I get the feeling the fan base aren't gonna go mental over it either. Should allow the lad to come in, do his job, maintain the levels of last season 18+ goal contributions without much pressure.

Mooted £35million signing, Leicester waned £60m last summer & £40m this summer so £35m is a decent price for a 25 yr old English lad with designs on being an England regular having only manages 1 cap thus far in his career.

Hope he does us and himself proud!

I'd be happy with this one, I'd be just about happy at £40 million, although I'd prefer and think the mooted £35 million is fairer.

Think he'd come in and do a good job for us to be honest and we need the quality depth with 4 competitions.

Interestingly, quite a few places are reporting that the player is keen on the move - I know that is often said but this has come from several good sources
