You forget just what a fantastic goal scorer he was. The control on the chest and the volley into the net is the best goal, IMO, and didn't that white kit look brill.

7:48 in for those who know or too young that haven’t seen it, although tbe first one is very topical over the next 24 hours!

Fantastic to watch again, and even though the first one was in a friendly I enjoyed it as much as the rest.

If only he'd have converted the penalty in the cup game!

Still can't believe we just gave him away.

One of the reasons I couldn't stand Keith Curle, he ruined Lee Hughes' career at Notts when he still had a good few seasons left to display his genius in the black & white. Who knows how many extra goals would have been included on that video compilation had Martin Allen been kept on. Hughes scored in 2 of Allen's final three games in January/February, then never scored another that season.

Probably the best player I've seen in a Notts shirt, and I started watching them in the early 90s. An absolute legend. I've never seen anyone get the fans going in the same way.

Those highlights also remind me of how good Ben Davies was. Can't think of a better dead-ball specialist at Notts than him. The two were a lethal combination.

Someone asked the other week which team was better, Munto or current.
At the time I thought that was a tough choice.
Having watched those goals, I don’t think the current team would stand much of a chance.
Davies, Westcarr and Hughes would be too good for our high line.
