    Birmingham City - v - Leeds United *** Matchday Thread***



    Birmingham City and Leeds United face off at St Andrew's Stadium on Saturday after the clubs extended their opening-match Championship unbeaten streaks to six and four, respectively.

    Leeds United drew 2-2 against Cardiff City at Elland Road in their first league match of 2023/2024. Birmingham earned a point in their season-opening Championship match, drawing 1-1 at Swansea.com Stadium against Swansea City.

    The previous Championship fixture between the sides saw Leeds win 5-4 at St Andrew's Stadium in December 2019. Hélder Costa opened the scoring for the Whites in the 15th minute. Jack Harrison, Luke Ayling, and Stuart Dallas also were on the scoresheet. Lukas Jutkiewicz led the Blues with two goals, scoring in the 61st and 91st minute.

    With goals against Cardiff City, Liam Cooper and Crysencio Summerville are the early leading scorers for Leeds.

    Siriki Dembélé has the early scoring lead for Birmingham after netting in the opener against Swansea City.

    Over 23 Championship contests at St Andrew's Stadium last season, Birmingham had seven wins, six draws, and 10 losses. Leeds, meanwhile, had two wins, three draws, and 14 losses in their 19 Premier League contests away from Elland Road.
