    Away record since Burnley

    Pl 11
    W 2
    D 1
    L 8
    GF 11
    GA 22
    Pts 7

7 points from 33, conceding 2 per game, not good
The defence is very poor and has been for a while now, we cannot keep conceding 2 goals per game and expect to win
Apart from the two jokes we call fullbacks, Ajayi and Kipre are car crashes waiting to happen, Bartley not much better should have gone years ago. that leaves us with Pieters, probably the best of the lot even though he is a full back and the untried Taylor , who surely must be given a chance

Awful record! There was 3,000 of us there yesterday and soon this support will stop dropping. You have missed off Furlong and Townsend from the above Bomber. They do are absolute garbage - league 1 players!

Corberen must take the blame yesterday as the signs were on the wall at Bolton with the team selection - subs and Wallace being made the captain. Yes Wallace runs but his end result is p iss poor!! As for Swift - he's the new Karlan Grant - a right lazy t wat!

That loss at Burnley was the night the rot started to set in to Carlos’ reign. Recall we played pretty well first half then sat back in the second on a 1-0 lead, allowed Burnley to play and the inevitable happened. We’ve never been the same since IMO. Knocked the stuffing out of us.

Corberan has made a lot of mistakes since that particular night.

A lot of his team selections have been extremely questionable and his substitutions have been abysmal.

The continued use of Chalobah being a case in point, a player who brings nothing but a bad and lazy attitude to the table.

Swansea on Saturday is a pivotal game for a whole host of reasons but particularly for Carlos.

Poor team selection and a bad defeat and the same at Leeds six days later will start to bring a lot of pressure on him personally.

If he picks Chalobah again and omits Maja and gets the formation wrong he’s really shooting himself in the foot as well as us.

He’s starting to do what most managers do these days, he’s becoming stubborn and entrenched in terms of picking certain players who should not be in the first eleven and then spouting “manager speak” after games like Bruce did.

He’s 3 to 4 bad results from getting the chop.

I’m not saying I want that but I’m saying that’s where this is going to end if he’s going to chain Chalobah to his leg like a concrete weight whilst trying to swim for safety.

Its so sad to see people questioning Corberan and that he might be 3-4 games away from the chop, you may be right with that view. Of course he's made mistakes, and he'll continue to make them.

I think he's the best manager we've had for some time, and he's got his hands tied with the off the field situation happening at the club. I'd say he's actually helped keep the club dignified and united over the summer.

I just have no idea why any of our supporters would be calling for his head at all this season. We seem to change manager every season and on the whole, it rarely helps us. If he goes, I literally can think of no-one else who can come in and do a better job.

Also, Maja isn't fit for a couple of weeks. Everyone knew this when he signed, not sure why this is being held against him?

Allegedly Chalobah swore at the Albion fans at half time, and gave them the finger

Carlos on thin ice for me as from that Burnley defeat the losses on the road have been awful but equally the performances have been shockingly poor!

I apologise for reiterating this but it is our defensive play that is causing all of our problems. It’s not just the back four but our defensive play in general. Three of the four goals so far conceded have been the result of losing the ball, and on two occasions straight after we had equalised. We have to look after the ball much better and not keep giving it away.

That’s as I see it Leics buddy. ‘Playing it out from the back’ seems Carlos’ plan, but we do not have the necessary individual footballing ability to play that way. There will continue to be errors. The 2 yard square passed ‘goal kick’ causes issues - clearly the players are uncomfortable. It seems that Kipre is now favoured for his ball skills rather than any defensive prudence.

Still in Carlos I trust, just.

My post wasn’t a call for Corberan’s head 123, merely pointing out that with the way things work these days and with our owner that this is a realistic scenario.

I’ve talked with a few Albion mates and there’s a general unease about Corberan’s team selections, substitutions and tactics.

I’d be surprised if you could defend the use of Chalobah for example.

    The Maja situation infuriates me.

We do this time after time, we buy players who are unfit or who haven’t had a pre season and then take forever to get them fit.

Most in here know I’ve been into running for most of my life and my baseline fitness is usually good even when returning after injury or illness, it takes me about 7 days to get back to my previous level after an enforced break.

Maja should have been keeping himself fit and only need a few sessions to get himself ready for 90 minutes but should have easily been able to do 25 to 30 minutes last night.

Id like to know where Cleary is as well, we have virtually nothing up front, he should be contending.
