Charlie Taylor off to Dirty Weeds..?

Rumours coming out of Yorkshire this morning is that Charlie is heading off to Elland Road. Farke needs him.

    Are we mad?

Vinni doesn't rate him so it's a no brainer. Good signing for Leeds, they'll have the best left-back in the Championship, good luck to them and Charlie, he's never let us down. Much under-rated imo, he's played a lot of PL games and I've never seen any of the world class forwards he's come up against rip him to shreds.

Totally agree sinkov, he has been a decent player for us and has 133 PL appearances behind him. Obviously, he will be on decent money at the Turf and, as he is 30 years old next month, he perhaps doesn't figure in the quest to keep the average age down and to develop players for future sales.
Good luck to him if he goes, he wants to play football and he should get the opportunity at Leeds.

Sometimes leaving Burnley (remember Christoper Grant Wood anyone?) is not the best career move a player can make even if it is more money. Charlie Taylor has however been a fine servant at this club and I am sure we will all wish him well if he moves on.

Not surprised. We have cover now with younger players for his position and,at his age,he will go back home for a decent fee.Good luck
to him,he wasn't getting regular games with us.

If Vitinho is a younger better option it’s slightly worrying - Taylor should have played Friday as he’s a proper full back and understands defending as well as bombing on to deliver ball - He’s just not VK style of player which is strange really as although he’s full back he’s not a lot different to how VK played - no nonsense defending.

Big loss imo unless we’re getting another new player - if we are I hope importantly he can defend.

I think that Charlie Taylor is the best left back at the club, although Vincent Kompany sees it differently. As a defender I thought Charlie was a far better option to Maatsen, although Maatsen was better going forward scoring some goals which Charlie has never done.

If Charlie is indeed moving to Leeds I would wishing good fortune for he as never let BFC down.

letting him leave with no quality replacement who as stated can actually defend is a big risk; but he is on a lot of money per week on the flip side and is getting older; but that did'nt stop us signing Guðmundsson at 30. What sort of fee is it likely to be?? On balance I'd rather keep him.

I'd happily keep him as well Dave, and I'd play him, but Vinni won't play him, so we may as well get his wages off the books, and hopefully sign someone that Vinni does rate.
