Thread: Loan clauses and unavailability

    Loan clauses and unavailability

Was reported that the loan release clauses have to be activated at least two weeks before the end of the transfer window (which might explain the Harrison rush).

Not sure if true but if so only another few days of not knowing.

    List of unavailable players frightening

    Loans

    Wober
    Koch
    Llorente
    Rasmus
    Aaronssen
    Harrison
    Roca

That should mean we can’t loan more out too as a maximum of 7

    Sold

    Roberts
    Rodrigo
    Mcalmont

    Released

    Robles
    Foreshaw

    Injured

    Drameh
    Bambi
    Sinnisterra
    Dallas
    Firpo
    Cooper
    Summerville
    Joseph
    Adams
    Greenwood

That’s over 20 players out the door or injured and only 4 first team ready players in.

Surely they have to get bodies in this week …..

It's one hell of a mess hopey , extremely depressing , I know I may sound like a stuck record here but those 'relegation release clauses' that Orta inserted in the contracts has really left us in the deep mire and to be honest I can't believe we allowed Jack 'The Rat' Harrison to have one inserted in his contract last April given we were in a relegation battle at the time.

    Madness..complete and utter madness!

Less than 3 weeks of this transfer window for the 49ers to at least give us a chance of competing in the division but it just all feels so bleak.

    I wanna be sedated

Yup Orta sure lost the plot completely with those clauses - no doubt again thinking it was some genius solution.

I can understand Harrison wanting to play prem football given what went on last January.

Koch, Wober, Roca, Llorente, Rasmus, Aaronson and now Harrison I think means we can’t loan any more players out due to the limit of 7 (unless Aaronson is young enough not to count)

Just would be nice to see some incomings this week. At the very least LB, CM and ST.

I remember talking to a friend years back about Boro and orta. He's a supporter of them and he advised it would end very ugly for us.

He's an engineer by trade so he's not prone to embellishment but talk about understating how bad someone can be. The damage he wrought the last 3 years will be worse than we ever thought possible.

Your friend was spot on spaldy , I can remember reading a couple of Boro forums just after Orta joined and none of em had a good word for him and if you look back to Orta's early days with us he didn't half bring in a load of sh1te with perhaps a couple that were decent but the warning signs were there.

The biggest worry now is just how much damage has he really done , it is believed that the first season after relegation to the Championship is your best chance at going straight back up , after that it is perceived to be extremely difficult.

49ers have got a massive job on their hands.

Said it on another thread that the calculated and targeted way he and Radrizzani have acted to cripple the club will damage us far more (and probably for longer) than the actions of Ridsdale that were driven simply by greed

    WTF

You have been consistent on the messaging on orta. Even during the MB good times.

However, I do think we are in a better spot than post risdale. It's a dark time right now for us. we've basically lost a 50-100 million in wasted transfer fees and wages. We still have 2 weeks to go and several players that cost big, big money that might never pan out. However, we also have some owners that do have some ability to get capital and will likely spend it unlike post Risdale.

Never been a question on the supporters and big club interest that Leeds generates. We can dig out faster than many teams.

Yes, I have consistently criticised Ortas performance, throughout his time at Leeds, and despite the achievements of the squad during the period we benefitted from Bielsas time. The squad that got us promotion was 95% in place before Orta arrived. Despite Bielsa being on board, Orta inflicted upon us the likes of Casilla, and the monumental stupidity that was/is the JKA "arrangement" (amongst others).

My point when comparing the damage Ridsdale did compared to Orta relates not just to what has been done structurally via contractual arrangements that no sane person would have negotiated, and the commercial insanity of some of the fees paid for what can generously be described as a collection of sh1te.

We have moved on from the times of Ridsdale. Once the dust settled on the various points deductions and relegations, it was STILL possible for Wise to construct a side from free transfer and out of contract players, players who were prepared to play for LUFC without formal contracts being in place etc etc. that team remained unbeaten in the run up to Christmas 2007, when the inevitable wear and tear began to take its toll (and Wise f00ked off to Swindon!). Point being players (all UK-based from memory) were prepared to come to Leeds because of who were had been, memories of WACCOE and the fight that Bates had with the footballing authorities were still fresh.

We are, unfortunately, no longer in such a position. We haven't achieved anything of note for nearly two decades (I include in the statement the promotion to the PL). We have had a succession of "wide-boy" owners who have invested little and extracted much (very much including Radrizzani). We have (collectively) managed to f00k up the brief stay in the PL whilst showing next to nothing in the way of capability to avoid such an outcome. We have no collateral left with "mature" players who might in other circumstances give the club the benefit of the doubt and join us for a fight to gain promotion, and the current scenario where multiple current LUFC players are refusing to play for the club is indicative of what other young players outside LUFC will be thinking ("Me, join Leeds? Not a f00king chance!")

I see nothing from the new owners to provide any smidgen of confidence that they actually know what they are doing, that they understand football as it is played this side of the pond (the question in another thread about getting first draft picks may not be so far from the truth), nor just how hard getting out of the Championship (and avoiding the drop to the third tier) is.

As for "digging out faster than many teams", you've been a Leeds supporter long enough to have lived through the League 1/Championship years. I suspect I will be dead and gone long before we emerge from this new era.

So why is there talk of Sinistera going back home on a loan?

And Bournemouth (YES,FECKIN BOURNEMOUTH) have now triggered the 20 million quid release clause for Tyler Adams and there is absolutely nothing Leeds United can do , Sky Sports News reports.

    Embarrassing/Humiliating....f*cking B'Mouth!!!!!!!

Just when you thought you couldn't hate Victor Orta anymore than what you already do....
