    Appeal dismissed

The authorities running Scottish fitba are hopeless, even the var ref knew it was not a red card.
They will put fans off going with this nonsense.

Wasn't of time, anything that ain't a sending off IE not in box, wrong guy etc will be overturned by VAR.

Anything that's subjective will not be overturned and ref will be backed unless it's Celtic or rangers and there is a small chance it will be overturned.

If mulligan hadn't decided to just boot the boy we wouldn't be here.

Sending off at Ayr he got away with as we won it with ten, Saturday whether a sending off or not he cost us with a bit of petulance.

You take the gamble by booting someone when ball is 3 yards away.

He took the gamble and busted.

I don't think it was a red but was immature, reckless and petulant......not the first time, will it be the last?

The original post was about the appeal procedure though, surely the panel look at other bookings in the game, the fact the var ref told him to check and also it was a tad rash but not high or off the ground.I agree mulligan needs to calm down at times but thats 2 weeks this ref sent someone off wrongly and both times he has been backed. Its getting beyond a joke and will turn fans away.

Had a look, last 15 appeals or cases brought, only one case dismissed, Celtic b player and one case went from red to yellow rangers b player.

You have to prove ref made an obvious error for case to be successful, this is very difficult to do whilst var is in operation as it becomes subjective once ref has looked at var.

If I was Dundee I wouldn't waste another £250, can get around 50 hot water bottles for that.

Typical SFA. Only interested in protecting one of their referees despite his blatant incompetence.
David Munro should be sent to referee games in the Lowland League as a punishment.
