    Man City

They obviously have incredibly good players but one of the super impressive things watching them (especially if you get to see them live) is the accuracy, precision and non stop concentration for 90 minutes.

Whether they have the ball or not the players are constantly making micro adjustments to their positioning and body angles.

It means when they get the ball they don’t need to waste time and effort moving their bodies to control or pass the ball.

Yes it makes a difference having great players who can pass accurately but still impressive and a testament to the added detail Pep seems to look at.

If you look at some of the EFL games it takes some players what seems forever to get the ball under control and then adjust to try to be in a position to pass with the passing options options often in the wrong position too.

It's unique to watch. They are really good and the coaching is solid. I suspect that whole coaching group is on board with Pep's vision.

However, one items that I might disagree with. I think the bottom teams on the prem are not better than the EFL teams. The only question is where does the bottom cut off occur? Right now you might argue that its the bottom six team or maybe as high as the bottom 10.

One thing that does enter into play in officiating. Citeh doesn't get the awful scrubs that we always seemed to get in the prem. It's not like the need homer refs to win. The 50/50 calls always seem to go their way. Part of that is just because they are so good I think the refs tend to "go to sleep" on some games.

One thing is for sure. i sure don't miss VAR and the constant stoppages in the game.

Possibly though you could say no other team does it as well. Millwall definitely were a huge contrast especially the more defensively minded players but also put back 4 a little in that game. Ayling seems to struggle with that on occasion.

Gnonto seems to have a great touch and body awareness - Rutter has a great first touch but sometimes seems to struggle with body position - wonder if he has hyper mobility?

Archie Gray is a brilliant example of being ready to receive and knowing what he wants to do with the ball.

Not being hugely critical as comparing to the bar City have set so very very high.

    Sad reallly.

All that ability and just a mismatch for him vs Citeh’s playing style.

Set for life financially but as useful to Citeh as costa is to us

Not sure it is a mismatch it’s just Rodri must be in the top 10 players in the world and is a pillar of that side - never going to get in the side ahead of him unless he grows 5 inches and becomes a few yards quicker.

He should have gone to Liverpool or Arsenal if he wanted regular first team football but suspect he thought that Pep would take him under his wing just as Bielsa did. It was almost that City didn’t want him to go to Liverpool as much as then wanting him.

Slightly naive on his part - that said he is now a premier league winner and champions league winner and is sitting on what should be a nice bank balance.

Good luck to him wherever he ends up or whatever he does - he always put in a shift for us.

Said it before and I'll say it again, put pep guardiola in charge of someone like Hartlepool or Exeter (no disrespect to either) where he has no money to spend and limited staff, players etc, then see how good he is as a coach, where as at the moment he can play football league manager and pick any player in the world almost, and next week the Saudis have opened the chequebook and another superstar arrives.

Correct money speaks many languages you can be a d head but look like a master if you make money eg Mourdoch's son takes over, a looser even his own family hates him apart from his father who has given him the reigns
