Firstly I'm not going for a pint. I'm going out for a day, as arranged by my wife, with her and a group of friends who we rarely see these days due to work and other circumstances and who have no interest in football. It's fallen on a day when Dundee are playing Kilmarnock, so what?

Secondly If I have to miss a match due to other commitments then I miss it. I've been a season ticket holder for fck knows how many years and have never felt obligated to attend or felt that I needed to make an excuse to anyone to miss any given game.

Thirdly, are you some kind of Dens Park Attendance Officer? JDFC, The Dens Park Plunky - mind boggles.

Maybe make yourself a bit clearer, your original reason was wife told you, your going on the drink, to which I pointed out, pubs are open after the match, you then go on a rant about being over worked and long lost friends etc etc, go do your own thing, I’ll mark you down as missed for when the restricted away tickets are handed out

I was clear from the off, the wife did tell me and gave me no option to refuse which pretty much took the football option out.

Didn't say I was over worked, didn't say anything about long lost friends either. These are your words.

I don't get to many away matches these days and wouldn't take a restricted away ticket at the expense of someone who does - just not my MO.

DFC fixtures are in the diary.

As you don't go to many away games, if any, then plenty of opportunities to socialise.
