Stewart goes on about the premiership than Southampton is the model.
We are years behind them.
We don't belong in the championship budget wise.
We have stayed up 3 times out off how many seasons.
Taylor biggest test will be getting us out off league 1 if we get relegated.
That's the time to judge him.
Opinions are like bums everyone got one
But from his interviews he does genuinely want to do well for the club and prove his worth.
Get off his back this year.
Got to agree with the above.
an article back in May claimed that accounts show that both Henrik Kraft and Dragan Solak were billionaires. The same article claims that Kraft is worth an estimated £2 billion, whilst Solak's estimated net worth is claimed to be over £1 billion.11 Sept 2023.Yep great model.
We are a Championship club because we're in it for now but I agree that when TS goes on about the Premiership it is slightly disingenuous. That said, were Luton considered a Championship club when they were promoted to it? A club that maintained it's consolidation and then pushed on to the Premier League through a number of managers. I don't think they are discussed enough on this board and I don't know enough about their funding etc to give a valid opinion but I look at their team and it hardly turns your head on a player by player basis.
Some people , especially the originator of this thread are too hard on Mr Stewart.
I like his ambition, if a little naive at times, we should all share his ambition, we are one step away at the moment, there are many teams who made it,who really shouldn't have.
Look at Luton last season, I'm sure their budget wasn't much bigger than ours, so it can be done....but probably not this season !
Maybe having an old compact ground gives them an edge. I would have thought that the facilities and playing surface at NYS is more of a level playing field, whereas back at Millmoor we stayed up for a few seasons under Ronnie where we had teams refusing to use the changing rooms, we changed the size of the pitch and sometimes left the grass a bit too longto stop opponents playing the game how they want.

Atm no we’re not a championship club but given time we will get there
The season Luton reached the play offs their wage bill was over £15.5m. Bet it was higher last season.
Still a remarkable achievement but the owners did gamble.
Rotherhams profit and loss reserves (from incorporation in 2008) show a defecit of just over £5m. The club pay £1m ish rent for the Stadium (owned by the Chairman)
He has also paid millions in sponsorship.
He 100% had a lot of help to take on the club and it's fair to say, it hasn'y made him poorer.
Considering the basket cases we had running the club previously, I reckon he's done a good job and been sensible. We've had our fair share of on-field success.
Can't fathom why people have it in for him. He talks bollox, so what? If that was a crime, a few people on here would be doing life terms.
