    Centenary year.

Season after next will be out 100th year as Rotherham United so I expect a collection of shirts and other memorabilia.
Or do I? We are notorious for being unorganised and badly prepared for things we should do better as a club. The recent poppy badges spring to mind.
There should already be a group involving staff, ex players and directors planning the celebrations.

On a side note, would we be better having a promotion run in L1 that season. Or below average at best in this division?

I just hope it brings some pride to the club.

I'm looking immensely forward to the centenary year. But, which season is it?
RUFC were formed in April 1925, when the 1924/25 season had finished. Now April is still inside a season.
So, 2024/25 or 25/26? Don't forget we lost 6 official years during the war.
I would like a season in original colours of amber and black, but can see I'd be well in the minority.
A charity game with teams in the strips of Town v County?

Good question - Wonder who is involved.

This one? It was a modern loose interpretation of the original kit.

If we were formed in 1924 then 2024 is our centennial. Are we celebrating that or 100 seasons of football? (unlikely) If it's the latter then as mentioned the war years need accounting for.

Considering 2024 is only 3 months away it's very concerning (expected?) that the club haven't already communicated their plans. For example, commemorative merchandise should have been lined up to be on sale for this Christmas.
