Must admit I don't listen to too many of these interviews because the questions and answers are usually predictable. I managed to listen to the full 23 minutes of this one, because Sam Slocombe offers a lot more than the typical interview. Many of his answers were long, but very interesting and with a bit more insight than normal. He's clearly a deep thinker on the game, and I suspect his future when he gives up the gloves might be more than just a goalkeeping coach.

Another great interview from Sam, could listen to him chat about football all day, and must have a guaranteed job in football in some capacity, if he wants one, when his playing days are over.

Good interview with Sam, can we all stop slagging him off now, well at least until Saturday.

He's always interesting in interviews isn't he. Thinking about it, goalkeepers often seem to be a bit more...er...cerebral than outfield players. Wonder why that is?

Apart from Shilton. No one would ever have described him as cerebral,

A really good interview from Sam Slocombe. Lot's of good answers and insight. Clearly a very intelligent and dignified professional. Could have a bright future in coaching.

There is a reason the likes of Slocombe, JOB and Rawlinson are still at the club after four seasons and they deserve our full support and respect for their wealth of knowledge (as displayed by Slocombe) and experience they bring to the dressing room.
