    Our injuries

I've honestly never seen anything like this for any team, let alone us.

You could look at our injury list and, if it was over the course of a season, you'd look back and think we'd had it pretty hard...but it's only November!!

I wonder if the intensity we play at-which is mirrored in training-has just fatigued them to the point where they are simply more susceptible to injury? It can't just be bad luck and coincidence, can it?

I don't know what the solution is, though-our intensity and our fitmess is our 'thing'.

    Thoughts?

Targett, Murphy, Anderson, Burn, Barnes, and Botman injuries nothing to do with intensity IMO. We’re being v unlucky.

Just wish this year was over! We need to spend some serious money, loans in January, even if all the injured players are back, we can’t keep up this style of play with the squad size we have, simple. Roll on january,

I think it’s the pressing game we play and the weather conditions we’ve had.

That incessant press and harrying the opposition is all well and good on a dry pitch.

But then those runs to close down, a quick change of direction to chase the ball on a sloppy pitch, they’re gonna lose their footing, slip and overstretch or fall awkwardly leading to those injuries we’re seeing

I love our style… but something may need to change to protect the squad while it’s still small.

I've never seen so many passes by us, miss placed,, or going astray. I wonder if that is due to fatigue setting in.

    Yep, that's a fair guess, I'd say.

Most PL games are won or lost on fine margins. Just needs a couple of things to sway either way in ours or the opposition's direction and you get what happened today.

Having said that, Bournemouth were absolutely the worthy winners today and, tbh, we probably got away with only two nil.

Too true and if Pope hadn't been in peak form it could have been four or five the way they used the flanks, then took their chances every time they could.

On this showing Bournemouth aren't relegation fodder. E.H. can be proud of what he left behind.

“Intensity is our identity” yeah that’s fine if we are playing 1 match a week.

    Too many matches.

It’s not just the holes left in the team by injuries but you also have the likes of little Joe having to play near 90 minutes when so recently back.
We’re in a terrible situation and now Miggy……
