    Car Insurance

Been reading that it's gone through the roof this year so I was expecting an increase, and it's gone up from £380 to £590, which from what I've been reading seems par for the course. Is there any point ringing them to try and talk them down or am I going to have to live with it ? I know I can shop around, but it's such a pain in the arse for just a few quid, I've rarely found it worth the hassle.

My sympathy Sinkov, mine also went up at the begining of October by a simmilar amount. I tried the compare web site and shopping around but the best I could get was just £3 lower than my renewal quote and with a company I had never seen before, so I decided I would have to bite the bullet and renew.

    Same Sinkov

Mine up by £200 but a speeding fine wait for it put me up by another £200

No accidents for 15years and still up £400

    Rip off merchants.

Think I'll have to do the same VC, the bit I read said most of the increase was due to EV's being so expensive to repair that a lot were just being written off.

Could you not have got round it by going on the Speed Awareness Course army ?Complete waste of time but it saved me getting points on my license.

You have to do comparison sites (eg Go Compare) for ALL insurance renewals. My Home Insurance quote recently was around £84 dearer
than last year.I looked around and ended up cheaper than last year.

My advice mon ami after going through hell with a "No fault" claim when a Burnley taxi broadsided me is suck it up and live your best life. Rip-Off Britain at its very best is car insurance.
