    17 games 8 points

Has any other manager ever survived such an abysmal record?

Don't know, but no team has avoided relegation with 8 points at this stage.

Thing is Chas, we all know it was last summer's bizarre transfer window that's left us with a dysfunctional squad and team, totally unsuited to a PL survival battle, but we don't know who bears the responsibility for it. Was Vinni given x amount of pounds by Mr Pace and told, 'There you go mate, buy what we need for the PL', or was he told 'Don't worry about next season, just buy players with the potential to improve and whose value will increase over the next couple of years' ?

If it was the former then he has got it totally wrong and it's just a question of how long Mr Pace will tolerate this unfolding disaster, if it's the latter then Vinni is blameless, he's just complied with his employer's and the club owners instructions.

Given that there is no indication that Mr Pace is anything other than completely relaxed about Vinni being in charge, and that players who could keep us in the PL were not being specifically targetted in summer, instead we just seemed to be hoovering up every promising young player we could lay our hands on at a bargain price, I'm inclined to think it's the latter. In which case it's unfair to blame the manager.

Regardless of how involved Kompany was, the buck stops with Alan Pace. He might make money on re-sale values, but how much will he lose when nobody renews their season ticket?

I know personally at least 100 who will because they would rather see us play in the Championship. My 5 will definitely be renewed so that makes 105 for certain.

I dont think there will be many who dont want to watch another season like 2022/2023.

If you are right Sinkov and Pace is buying with only making money in mind imo BFC are finished as a top team and would they be a club worthy of support. Somehow supporters get attached to players but not if they are only around for a season two.

I get the idea that it could appear like that lbut if we’re honest football has always been like that- with the exception of the super clubs now City - Chelsea etc.

As if to prove a point it hasn’t / isn’t working anyway we are bottom of the league with issues I suppose you could argue it working if we sold a lot players for big money in January or the end of the season - but who ? I wait with baited breath koleosho cost £3 million and could go for £20/25 after that I’m struggling I like Amdouni but we payed £18 million - maybe Beyer for £20/ £25 million
Odeber - maybe also decent money

    Benson - no
    Zaroury -no
    Tresor - no
    O’Shea - no
    Cullen - no

The plan if that’s what it is / was is t working

We just bought the wrong mix to compete - someone got it wrong as Sinkov. Says I’m guessing it’s Pace and his AI system as he’s said didely squat and VK seems un phased at the minute - maybe it’s because VK didn’t buy the players who knows - but not being competitive at this level didn’t put value on our youngsters ( not playing them did t either) if that was the plan.
