    FAO Sub

More murky goings on up your way Sub, is that club run by the local mafia or what ?

"The Northern Premier League has this afternoon postponed the next two scheduled fixtures of Marske United FC, whilst enquiries in to the recently announced take-over are made."

    Strange goings on indeed.
They are trying to raise £100,000 fairly quickly and the old board have resigned and they now have 3 Directors, including their CEO who has moved out of that post. They have become a Limited Company and have been selling shares with a very big uptake.
Nobody seems to know exactly what the enquiries are which the NPL are making but it is ongoing. Ken doesn't know any more than that and he has lots of contacts in that area.
If I hear anything I shall let you know.

Cheers Sub, wasn't it Marske where someone drove a hearse onto the pitch during a game not long ago ?

No, that was a friendly between Dunston and Gateshead in July and they reckon that that was 'gang' related. Here is the latest I have heard about that in October.

    More on the Maarske saga.
The manager is the son of a former well known non League stalwart who was, amongst other things, the manager of Whitby Town for years.

Doesn't sound good does it Sub, and just when they need the money they have to postpone two games.

I feel really sorry for their manager Graeme Lee because he has so much to contend with apart from the football
