    Plymouth Argyle Post Match Thoughts

As mentioned on the match thread "It's the season from hell!". For a while it looked like the fight in the team along with a Christmas miracle was going to reap some reward for what by all accounts was a game that would be remembered for finishing at around 5:15, some shocking refereeing (as per usual), Tom Eaves popping his Millers' cherry and one of our players pressing the self destruct button. Note to Mr. Ayala, other than the obvious two word request by every Miller, when a team gets out the begging bowl to the EFL to be able to sign you it would have been nice if you could have at least tried to repay them.

    Thoughts?

That ref has stiffed us before. I hope Richardson is knocking on his door. Wasnt a penalty. Foul on Revan for 3rd. Fuming. Send Ayala back inexcusable.

Game changed for us when Hughill missed that sitter of a header to go 2 nil up. Score that and none of that unfortunate business happens after its a different game.

Hats off to all the boys first time in weeks they've done us proud. Hope its not a 1 off and we can get some points on the board before a lot of business needed in January

Dunno where that toss por got 7 mins from second half. Prob didnt matter tho because he would have kept playing till they scored,

Need to start Eaves does a lot more than Hugill.

Both our full backs cant defend. Ayala? Literally here for the pay day Do not play him again. 6 points chucked away for sheer stupidity. If you dont want to be here just feck off. sooner play with no cbs.

Ayala should have his contract cancelled immediately, complete and utter waste of a wage and shows a complete lack of respect to the club and his fellow professionals, should never wear that shirt again. Cannot fault the effort for most of the team, Hugill is the exception to that, we were robbed by the referee today playing 25 minutes of additional time, booking every Rotherham player he could, you could see the little erection in his shorts when Ayala handled that ball, he got the red card so fast. Bramall at fault for both their second half goals, lets the man past him to cross for the first and then tries to block with his right foot, basic error and the late goal lost his man totally, it was a foul on revan and no idea where 7 minutes came from, well done to Tom eaves, show Hugill that video for the 20 min cameo and say "see a centre forward can stay on his feet". Eaves deserves a chance to start with Nombe, it can't be any worse. As for the referee, i am sorry but the club have to report him and request a full investigation into him, they cannot be above suspicion. Where is the integrity, we know there has always been corruption in football but now it seems to have grown significantly.

Every team needs a bit of luck but we've had absolutely none of it all season. Add the poor referees that we seem to get week in and week out to it and there's no wonder we're propping the league table up. Plenty of effort today though and as I said in the match thread, I wouldn't have sent Ayala out for the second half after his booking in the first because he's always liable to do another "foul" to add to the one he's already done. He seems to be a bit of a liability.

At least we showed some fight. Watching Sky Sports at 5pm - we were holding on, Wednesday were level and Huddersfield were losing.
Wednesday get the winner 90+4, Huddersfield get a pen and equalise 90+8. Then….well we know what happens.
If it wasn’t for bad luck we’d have no luck at all.
Having said that, it happens too often.

6-0 on bookings. Hard to believe in what looks like a feisty match, PA wouldn’t have done multiple fouls or single one or event which would warrant a yellow. What were they? Nuns in disguise?
