    Player ratings v Harrogate

    Stone 3
    Brindley 4
    Baldwin 6
    Chicksen 6
    Nemane 4
    Jones 6 (poor first half)
    Bostock 5
    Austin 4
    O'Brien 4
    Crowley 5
    Langstaff 5

No intensity, incisiveness or urgency again today, so slow, ponderous and predictable.

We've always been slow, ponderous and predictable, but prior to this bad run, we knew how to score goals and that's the bit we seem to have forgotten how to do.

These are very worrying ratings. We have a mistake prone defence, an aged and weak midfield and now an attack that looks easy to mark, easy to defend against and not capable of creating their own opportunities. Throw in an appalling keeper and a one dimensional approach to how we play and not looking good.

From what I watched those are fair ratings.

Langstaff - no point giving a mark to as gets no service so any rating is just based on his running about which he did so I guess it's an 8?

The teams passion, intensity and willingness to earn the right to play with the base of hard work and care MINUS 2

I'd agree apart from Chicksen, his anticipation and positioning throughout the game was shocking today.

It's been stated many times but we are lost in midfield without Palmer. He was always available for a pass out from the back which is what we are lacking with our current midfielders
They don't have the engine anymore to create a yard of space for themselves

I agree, I think that complete lack of energy in midfield without Palmer is absolutely killing us.

Watched it on ifollow and let's just say it was complete garbage.. constant back passes to a keeper with absolutely no confidence... midfield unfortunately looks its age, all huff and absolutely no puff... Austin was so far off it I really don't know what he offers, Langstaff barely had a sniff...just no service whatsoever... every time Harrogate came forward our back line cacked themselves...very uncomfortable viewing indeed, something clearly wrong and its not just Palmer missing... LW needs to try something different because it's not working at present 😒

LW 3. Completely clueless today and last week, out thought by a manager from teams near the bottom of league 2 . Only plan A that is totally reliant on the better players, if this fails as it increasingly has recently, no plan B whatsoever
Surely if plan A fails, we should be able to battle and grind out results against teams near the bottom. Either way LW has a lot to think about tonight
