OT: error 503

Does anyone else have problems getting onto this site? It's getting progressively more difficult for me whether on phone or laptop. 50% of time I get 503 inferring the site is too busy to connect. There are only a few things I know much about, but one is that this site ain't busy!

Thought it was just me. I agree it’s been dreadful for a while now. I repeatedly get a blank page with the message ‘cannot decode raw data’ whatever that means, then suddenly it’s okay again apart from repeatedly having to sign in which I never had to do from literally one year to the next. Don’t ever get the message you describe but it has become hopelessly time consuming.

I had a few of those pages earlier, but now moved on to the 503's. Will soon be impossible to use at this rate of degradation

Oh well, c’est la vie. I’ll miss you. Time has invariably been wrong since the end of March too. I blame…you know who and what!

Just had around half an hour of intermittent attempts to log in. All giving the 503 error.

Response from admin:

We are aware of issues on the Footymad servers at the moment, due to a ddos attack.


Although it's not a common issue, like nearly all other public websites on the internet, this is something that affects us from time to time and it has an impact on the live websites.


We are taking security measures to combat this situation and thank you for your patience.
