When will we make a decision

Just what are Burnley doing. How difficult can it be to examine 4/5 cv’s and interview 3/4 people. It is not exactly a difficult process so why is it taking such a long time. I know we all want:hope the right decision is taken but come on get the decision made.

I think 95 plus of them could go straight in the bin Pete.

It does occur to me that the longer we go without a manager the more money Mr Pace is saving, no idea what VK was on, but I would imagine if he can drag it out until after the Euros and then appoint Frank, he could have saved not far short of half a million.

    Agreed.
Loads of candidates to sift through , they will likely cut to 10 or so for interveiw then cut to 5 for final interveiw , they will want to do as much due diligence as possible on each candidate and they will a tick box criteria for the man they want , style of play , player development & long term plan.
Players won't be due back for a couple if weeks yet , so CB & MJ can sort all the training preparation , don't think we will be looking to add more than 3 or 4 players to the squad and think the owners will make the decisions on player sales.
Sure quite a few fringe players will leave and others out on loan.
Perfect timing to need a new manager in my opinion rather than during the season or well into pre-season , sure we will have a new manager/Coach by the time the players come back.
    No hurry for me.

Absolutely, as long as its not Parker or Resienior , take too long though and the drama queen's will be out in force

I’m like you Lancaster I think we are wasting time tbh

All this euros talk and no rush - I think is a mistake manager should be here ASAP and he could look at the squad before the players come back to hit the ground running and pre empt who can be sold - stay or go on loan.
We want the right man that’s for sure but you would think we’d have conducted interviews and got down to a short list by now.

I may be wrong but I’d rather have someone in place to see what’s needed before pre season starts.

The Athletic reckons we might not have the new man in place by the time the season starts, never mind pre-season.

An awful lot of guessing in the article... I wouldn't take anything from it to be honest

I've seen nothing but guesswork in discussions about our new manager yet. No one knows anything, journos, bookies, fans, it's more than likely that Mr Pace still doesn't know who he's going to give the job to yet. All the rest of us can do is speculate and wait.
