    Macca and Jodi

Theres a lot ofspeculation on the board at the moment re the futures of Macca and Jodi. IMO 3 things will influence this 1) which clubs come in for them and wether they appeal to them, 2) wether they actually want to leave(both have clearly stated they are happy at Notts) and most importantly, wether their valuations match the clubs(the brothers) valuations. IMO they will both be Notts players next season especially having seen the excellent recruitment so far. Top 3 here we come

There's only speculation from a couple of media websites who are just clickbait pages.

Unless somebody comes in with a ridiculous offer that cannot be refused, neither of them are going anywhere. The club and both players have repeatedly made this clear and I cannot fathom what is to be gained by fans constantly speculating about them leaving, and posting links to click bait sites. I for one am getting a bit sick of it tbh

This is where I'm at. The players are both under contract for next season and with Macca beyond. Macca has just been made captain. They are both loved and adored by fans and love the club. There does not need to be constant anxiety about it.

We've not sold anyone under radar apart from Cal Roberts from memory. Everyone else has left when their contracts ran out.

I think it's a case of next season with the big three gone (Stockport/Wrexham/Mansfield) that the stars are aligned and it's an opportunity for us to go for automatic promotion because if we don't get to league one then there will likely be more chance of Langstaff and JJ leaving next summer. But that is along time in football into the future.

Most of the rumours are coming from Swansea fans thinking players will follow Williams. Now, I could be wrong and won't delve too much into it as it will betray confidences but a lot of respect was lost for LW when he jumped ship shall we say. I don't think he has any pull over those players any more

Why would you want to follow a manager who will be sacked before Christmas.

Because you will be playing 2 levels higher than you would be in the other team with the manager sacked before Christmas?

I think most Championship clubs would rather sign a player proven at that level or a decent youngster from a Prem club than take a punt on a player who's never played higher than L2. Realistically, we aren't going to let him go for less than a million, so it's an expensive gamble. Macca's probably more suited to L1, but hardly any L1 sides have/want to spend that much money on a striker.

Jones is clearly good enough to play higher up the pyramid, but there are still questions over his injury record, which will mean nobody's willing to offer what he's worth to us.

Plus, both are happy. They love it here, and we love them. I can't see either leaving this summer, but I could perhaps see more speculation in January or next summer if they both have amazing seasons.

Macca’s under contract until 2027, so any offer to get him would need to be silly money - which few clubs in the EFL will have. I’m more concerned about JJ walking away on a free next summer, so hope we manage to get him signed up for a few more years very soon.

Would he be playing under the new manager?
