Thread: Failing PSR on purpose

    Failing PSR on purpose

There are rumours we are willing to fail PSR and just take the points deduction next season so that we don't have to sell any of our stars..

Talk of Almiron refusing any type of transfer because he is happy on Tyneside also..

Would you take the points deduction or do you think the PL will hit us harder than they did to Everton and Forest

Check out the tinfoil hat on Tutsterinho! haha

It's a theory indeed. Some of the pods have banned the notion about. However, clickbait talking heads crew obviously don't understand the way things work.

The way rules are breached make a difference.

Forest got humped despite doing all they could to maximise the return on a player investment and worked with the PSG committee to balance the books. As did Everton. They were open to the committee and worked to resolve the overages asap.

    Still they were punished.

So what does that mean for us going forward with the current rules in place.

It means we can't just flip the PSR committee the middle finger, spend £200-300m on a new team as we will get hammered with the full weight of punishments, relegations and all manner of other nasties.

However, what the punishments handed out to Everton and Forest have done, is set a precedent.

As long as we work with the committee to stay within the rules, the punishments have to fall within the same limits as the other clubs. Should Newcastle United receive unbalanced or greater points deductions than other clubs, we can absolutely hammer then in court which would destroy any validity the rules held.

Miggy will have to realise that if the club are selling him, he has to go. That's the nature of football and wider professional sport in general. Should he stay he'll be playing with the kids like Fraser.

If that's what he wants, that's what he'll get.

That thought had honestly crossed my mind… but it’s such a tight league any point deduction could be the difference between Europe or not.

Also, don’t want to be tarnished with ‘cheat’ label.

But then again, why be honest in a den of crooks

The PL invented a rule to stop Jason Tindall standing next to Eddie,

They'd crucify us for any breach...and enjoy doing it.

    This.

They wouldn't care it was unbalanced, they'd drag it out for years.

Mr DeMarco would absolutely love dismantling the EPL if they did administer unfair punishments.

However, it is crystal clear that all these rules are focused on stopping us from becoming dominant.

Doesn't matter, it will happen, even if it takes 10 yrs. The inevitability is something I'd bet the house on!

Mark Douglas's article highlights the farcical nature of PSR control and how they don't do what they were designed to do.
Teams having to sell academy products, the exact players clubs should be encouraged to retain and develop into first team players.

The whole system needs to be ripped up and they need to start again. Focus on Club debt. However, they'll never do that becuase the darlings LIke Man U will be relegated or forced to sell off their entire squad.

Yet more evidence that this FFP/PSR system was designed to control ambitious clubs and block them from overtaking the crooks who have manipulated and abused the transfer system to dominate the league over the past 30 yrs.

Eddie likes him though, AND he’s a good squad player but shouldn’t be first choice, we need to have better, BUT he’s probably one of the few who are sellable.

Yeah his work rate can't be argued with. His output is not in the top 15 wingers in the Premier League. If he was a club he'd be fighting relegation when we need a winger who is challenging for the title.

He has to go or Murphy, another Howe favourite. Someone else on the board stated 'We absolutely can not start the season with those two as our first choice Right Winger'.

    I completely agree with that.

They are not good enough to play for a team with aspirations of being a top 4 side.
