Any thoughts? I think he’s been bumped off.
He was involved in an 8 man machete attack on a lad 2 years ago for one thing.
There’s also strong rumours that he’d gone out there to act as a drugs mule and that he’d either lost the stash or used a load of it himself.
Nobody decides to make an 11 hour walk across rugged unknown ground to get back to their hotel.
The whole thing stinks, I get the feeling he got himself into a world he wasn’t prepared for.
Yes you are spot on. I wonder what the hell if anything has happened to him though. You don’t go walking in barren unknown terrain without water . Some food and protection from the sun. Never ever go bare skinned. I know this from my time out in Middle East and North Africa while in service. You can’t survive .body will shut down and need energy elsewhere.bad bad death.despite him being a Scrote I hope they find him.
I had to smile ironically at his mum giving the “bring my baby home”…..the same “baby” involve in an 8 onto 1 machete fight.
This years winner of the Sharon Mathews Award for crocodile tears.
To be fair though, I'd also read that the victim of the machete attack himself had told internet trolls to shut up with their comments and speculation and said that everyone should just hope the lad gets found and home. Judging by his sentence Slater may have been part of the group of 8 but was likely not heavily involved in the attack himself.
I'm sure that we don't know all the facts/circumstances but agree that something certainly seems "off" about the whole thing. Anything more than that is just speculation. We don't know if his involvement in the prior attack was him falling in with the wrong crowd in the past or whether he still has gang/drug connections and really is a little scrote or whether any of this has any bearing whatsoever on his disappearance but he is still only 19 so hope he is found and found alive soon.
Understand where you are coming from. The photos released of him don't hint at it but these can obviously be deceptive.
The whole knife crime culture is both scary and depressing. I'd read that the families of Some victims have had some success doing talks in schools but surely the government needs to do more. Following the death of that lad in Wolverhampton, some news outlets were showing photos of a local corner shop blatantly selling machetes and large knives for £25 FFS!
