In turn, former sporting director Dan Ashworth, had not been in a rush to agree a new contract with Brazil international Joelinton because he recognised the club may well need to sell him. The 27-year-old would have had one year left on his existing deal this summer and there was a market for him.

Like I said in the other post. Any Wasta he had with Sheikh Yasir is totally gone. I can almost guarantee the Sheikh won't even answer the phone to Ashworth ever again. If there is any direct business between the clubs in the future I will be amazed.

Even the Saudi sponsorship of Man U could be stopped.

It's an interesting read. Talks about how the Glazers used Sheikh Jasim Al Thani's (full name - Jassim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani - First brother of the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani - the 'first' bit is important. First born from the first wife is most respected and so on) offer to buy the club outright as leverage. Once again it's a huge insult to do something like this.

Being used in a game to get what the Glazers wanted out of the Rat was probably a great business strategy in their eyes, however, they've naturally made an enemy of PSG going forward.

The whole Ashworth business with 'the filth' has meant that I'm pretty sure, knowing what I do about Arabic culture that there will never be any business of any sort with them ever again.
