    Antonio Silva

We are linked with him from Benfica and apparantky have made a bid (according to Portuguese media).. this is the signing that I want.. this is a better transfer than when we signed Botman if it does actually go ahead..

    He's tipped for huge things..

Yeah he's tipped to be a very good player.

20 yrs old bags of experience already in Portugal, player in European competition already so plenty of character building events early in his career.

Depending on the price looks like a mint signing. Just over 6ft tall, Eddie Generally likes his CBs to be absolute monsters.

I'm still happy if we get that Thiaw fella in too mind, he's a unit. Good with both feet & the one advantage over Mr Silva, he's 6'3.5".

I'm happy with the recruitment team and the fact there will be money to spend. So, we're in good hands this summer.

Whoever we get in they're going to be absolutely class and improve us as a first team and as a squad no end.

According to reports I read, we bid £50 million which was rejected straight off and we're going back with a £60 million bid.

I assume like most Iberian clubs he has a release clause of somthing.

Not sure if the Portuguese labour laws are exactly the same as Spain with a mandatory release clause.

    He's a quality 185cm or just over 6ft.

Eddie Howe likes his units which is why I guess we've been repeatedly linked with that Thiaw fella who 's 6ft4 tall and only 2 yrs older.

I guess it's now in the hands of Mr Mitchell to bring the perfect players to give Eddie the best options to make a damn good challenge for the top 4 and a cup this season.

The thought of him and Botman for the next 10 years is enough to make you salivate though

This would be up there with the best CB pairing in the league if it happens.. once settled in and Botman back of course

    What's this lad's passing like?

As Schar loses a bit more of the little pace he had, some of his defensive weak spots will be highlighted but his passing out from the back is a key part in our play.

Obviously, a better defender would balance out the aspects we'd miss if Schar wasn't playing but it'd be good if this fella can pass a bit, too.

I'd say he is up there with a young Schar.. likes to get the ball forward quickly.. however.. there are reports now all over Twitter that is is Thiaw and we are in advanced talks (think Ragatino mentioned something about him couple days ago)..

I knew we were linked but Thiaw would be decent too.. I would prefer Silva as he is a bigger prospect but these young defenders are all of the same mould..

I would be happy with any of the following:

    Thiaw
    Antonio Silva
    Diomande
    Scalvini
Leny Yoro (although I think he will end up at R. Madrid)
