O/T Four days days fishing the Trent ….,

    …… and surrounding areas.

I’ve taken a complete shut down on football four days and I’m just outside Newark

Don’t know what happened there? But I’m just outside Newark fishing a private lake and for me the whole world can just pass me by.

Fishing the Trent tomorrow and then some more private lakes Thursday and Friday…..catch up in all later….🎣🎣

Thought I’d share my day with you all.

I’m in great company with my mate and the sharing of his great mod cons caravan.

Today has been exceptionally well for fishing 🎣
Called in at Kingfisher Lakes and absolutely walloped them! Shame the venue now closes at 6pm as all good fishermen know, the fish take the bait well after tea time.

Talking of tea we are just about to tuck into a variable feast off the bbq. Roasted lamb steak, Argentinian king prawns on the shell, lamb kebabs all served up with new potatoes, salad and a nice bottle of champers.

Who says fisherman eat poor when let loose. 🍾

Went yesterday with 2 pals who are also retired. When I was working , the actual catching lots of fish was paramount , now it's more of a social thing . We went to Saltfleetby Fishery which does a great breakfast ,the weather was brill and we did catch a few fish. Not quite " Last Of The Summer Wine " but near enough . Enjoy your trip mate.

Thanks Lincs, a fellow fisherman who understands what I’m talking about.

Yea I feel my mate and I growing towards the LOTSW… 😄

Thing is it’s a chill factor on todays life, and u get where others don’t get fishing but, we all have our ‘get out’ vices. Mines fishing 🎣
