Yep. Big thanks to everyone who voted Labour. You have effectively destroyed what was left of this once great country. Downfall started by Blair finished by Starmer.

I’ve voted Tory all of my life but have to admit that they have not covered themselves with glory over the recent past. Admittedly, they have had a difficult time, especially Covid and Ukraine, and whoever had been in power would have found it so. That doesn’t excuse them as their sleaze, infighting, and lies did not sit well. I firmly believe that Labour didn’t win the election but that the Tories lost it.
I didn’t vote Labour but I am prepared to give Starmer a chance. Let’s wait and see what transpires.
I was talking with my accountant today, she’s very good friends with a high level accountant who spends a lot of time within HMRC.
She told my friend last week that she’d been in with HMRC a few days previously and warned her that things are going to become really aggressive by HMRC.
Their biggest target is going to be small to mid sized LTD Companies, the category I fall into, this is because we’re an easy target.
Amazon and Google etc will continue to evade tax but the average Joe like me is going to be targeted
Once HMRC send in their bully boys it really does become horrible.
Get ready for a raft of small/medium business owner suicides in the coming years.
What has really peeved me is the BS spouted in parliament by Angela Rayner about housing numbers, quality requirements, figures, targets etc etc etc. Sheer unachievable fantasy. Totally wrong thing to do.
I do think they purposefully misled the public over tax rises and the financial black hole. This whole notion that they didn't know there was £20b missing is really hard to believe. Rachel was meant to be Shadow Chancellor!
The thing is, everyone predicted they would do this as they were too daft in saying specifically what taxes wouldn't rise and purposefully left the rest out and then basically "no comment" on other tax rises.
If they generally believed their manifesto was funded, surely they would have just said "unless the financial situation changes there will be no tax rises".
It's a bad start for me.
